2013 Indspire Award recipients
October 16, 2012
(Ottawa, ON) – Today, Assembly of First Nations National Chief Atleo released this statement following the announcement of the 2013 Indspire Award recipients:
"Now it is more important than ever to focus on supporting First Nation learners, especially the kids. They, along with our ancestors, like my own late grandmother, inspire the effort right now. Our children deserve so much more and we will not, we cannot let them down. We will be unrelenting in our advocacy for justice, for hope and for opportunity for every one of them. I think today of the many champions of education both past and present and I believe we have the opportunity to push for and achieve transformative change now."
