2011 Federal Election - First Nations Count: Our Communities, Our Nations, Our Voice
The 2011 federal election gives First Nations and all Canadians a chance to debate and discuss the issues that matter to our people and the opportunity to change the way First Nation issues are addressed in this country.
The priorities expressed by First Nations across the country are varying, dependent on lands and territories, histories and experiences. As much as our challenges can be unique, we all share a common goal – and that’s creating the space for an improved quality of life for our peoples based on our Treaties, our rights and our jurisdiction.
The AFN encourages First Nations and all Canadians to take a look at the issues and be part of the conversation. Check back often for regular updates on upcoming events.
