Get Connected with the AFN

There are many ways that Chiefs and First Nation citizens can get information and directly communicate with the AFN on an ongoing basis.

The main page of the AFN website and the Media Centre section feature the latest press releases, press statements and media advisories. This information is also distributed via Canada Newswire and e-mailed to AFN Regional Offices and Provincial Territorial Organizations’ (PTO) communication officers.

AFN press releases, National Chief Monthly Bulletins, Policy & Legislative Bulletins, and notices are broadcast faxed to First Nation band offices, PTOs and tribal councils. If you’re not receiving these regular updates or if your contact information has changed, please contact Communications Administrative Assistant Tash Cote at tcote@afn.ca.

Our Policy staff host weekly conference calls with Provincial-Territorial Organizations. To get more information about how you can participate, please contact AFN Senior Policy Analyst Julie-Ann Tomiak at jtomiak@afn.ca.

Become our friend on Facebook! The “Assembly of First Nations / Assemblée des Premières Nations” Facebook page includes photos, press releases and announcements, and links to news, videos and information.

Follow us on Twitter under @AFN_Updates or @AFN_Comms. You can also follow the National Chief under @ShawnAtleo.
